Now I just have to distress some furniture. Will paint it cream white, put a few knicks in it and sand paper wear off some spots, but I am waiting to work in the garage and so far too cool & damp in there.

care about the crystals either. The size of crystals I've seen on chandaliers don't exactly "go " with the look we're going for.JMO. If I can ever find my digi., I'll send you some pic's of the lamps I made. It's amazing what you can make out of a pair of hidious old lamps, new shades and some PVC piping!

sure is taking it's time! I don't have a garage, so I need my back deck to do my refinishing. I have a dresser to redo this summer. With any luck I'll have several other projects to do by then as well. I also have to repaint the lamps I made last fall. I painted them silver, and now I want them to be a distressed off-white, maybe with a touch of silver leafing. I bought beads to trim the bottoms of the shades this weekend, forgot to tell you that. They were on sale for $3 a yard @ fabricland, reg.$8!
