Anybody else got the flu?

I am achy, stuffed up, sneezing, coughing, low grade fever. And all I can take is Tylenol since I'm pregnant. DH had it and generously passed it on to me. Next time he's sick I'm sending him to the spare bedroom!

any good remedies for the sinus congestion beside the spray that rebounds on you after 3-4 days?

You're not alone. I have a stuffy nose, hacking cough and raspy voice compliments of my DH.
I take good ol fashioned vitamin c chewables everyday and have managed to stay clear of any colds this year, except this one time that I forgot to take them while hubby was sick!
on a more positive note I can belt it out and Toni Braxton eat your heart out.

No the flu shots prevent some of the viral stuff but impossible to immune you against all of them. Some nursing homes/hospitals here have a NO visitors policy as it seems to be the only way especially for seniors and others with any serious problems.
Gad I have been reading about the bird flu...upsetting stuff.

My DS is on round 2 of the illness cycle. First was a cold, which he gave to DH, now its viral bronchiolitis, snorky nose, loose wet cough, and temperatures as high as 39.2. He is eating well, and active if the fever is down. Spoiled our plans to visit for the March Break :( And at my work, we had "the flu" go through on a number of wards, made us take antiviral medication or flu shot or no work, no pay! Flu shot doesn't cover the strain going around anyway.... what a waste!

and on round 3, my DH bought a bottle of Cold-Fx. You take 9 capsules the first day (3 X 3) then 6(2 x 3) and then 3 (1 x3). It is a herbal remedy...ginseng I think. I think it may have helped when taken exactly as stated. A couple here and there just don't do it. Check with the pharmacist as whether it would be safe for you. My father checked (as he is on high blood pressure medicine) and they advised against it. Chicken soup always works. When I'm the one sick, my DH picks up the Chinese chicken noodle soup...even better! Hope your feeling better soon! :)
