Maybe my expectations are off or maybe not. I'd be interested in knowing what others are thinking about the expert forums.
Last expert forum it took over a month to see responses. This expert forum (Nature Mix) seems like the experts are getting off easy. So far each has posted 3 posts (3 of the 6 posts in one thread). Including typing time, seems like about 15 minutes of time involved for each expert. The posts offered good information, it's just they were so limited in what they answered.
I guess I expected more after seeing other expert forums on other sites where the experts are on for at least an hour and answer more posts/questions. So far, 2 days , 2 experts, 4 questions addressed of only 17 threads/questions.
EDIT: maybe there is hope... I just noticed Tony is still posting. Here's hoping.
Personally, when I see a post I have a thought for and then notice it's in an expert forum, I pass thinking the expert will answer (sometimes I don't notice which forum it's in until after I've posted and thankfully people responded to mine which helps a lot but there are quesions which others post that I am often interested in seeing an answer to ). I think by the comments I've seen, others often think the same (not repsonding in the expert forum) and then the poster ends up without any answers until maybe after the expert dates when others jump back in trying to help but given posts fall out of the 'new posts' category, they often get forgotten. So much for the effort they took to post their question and I often feel badly for those who have very good questions yet get no answer.
I don't know, seems like a big build up and more time spent on the product promotion than actually living up to the advertising. What's the phrase, lotta sizzle, no steak.
