you know what i find?...besides the fact that i never got to sleep in this summer...i was up between 6 and 7 am everyday...well ok the only day i slept in was last sunday...and i made up for all the days i didn't get to sleep in...i slept til 10 am....first time in my life i've EVER slept that late....but i find that now with school back...i have no problem...i've got an internal alarm clock that wakes me up at 630 am every morning....my morning routine?....get up...make my coffee...grab my smoke...AND THEN go make lunches...if i don't my smoke and coffee before i make lunches they get a real crappy lunch....lol

itsjustme.............as much as i enjoy my bit of queit time when the kids are back at school, i must agree with you......i also hate the whole school routine....lunches, snacks, homework, early mornings, making sure uniforms are washed up.....it always takes me time to adjust to the hub bub again....

In the grocery store this a.m. a fellow shopper just burst into a huge smile. She turned to me and said "i'm so happy - the kids are back in school, " She had her Starbucks in hand and was loving every minute of grocery shopping. So jenjen, are you secretly from BC? :D

NOPE! I much prefer SLEEPING in late every morning, having pajama days, eating when we feel like it, sitting on a BEACH, and no stress.

Now I have to get up early, get kids ready, force breakfast down their throats so they have energy for the day, pack lunch bags with crap convenience foods instead of healthy home made stuff because of peanut-free and no-baking policy.
And my days of shopping are over too, because I have to be back to fetch them from school, and I am helping out at the school too every day.

So NO I am not doing the happy dance!

WHEN IS THE NEXY HOLIDAY!!!!????

Given the choice, I'd rather be at home and deal with obnoxious kids all summer than be at work and deal with obnoxious co-workers. At least you can yell at your kids when they piss you off and send them to their room so you don't have to deal with them!!!!

yea but the problem is they don't go when you tell them to!...lol...i usually end up going to MY room to get away from them...hahaha

Don't worry about them jenjen - there happy day will come when they retire. They'll steep in, they'll travel on a different route at a different time of day.

So keep on doing your happy dance. Except maybe your wallet is feeling a lot skinnier after hearing about the basic costs to outfit the kids. $150 for backpack - I wonder what the average kid gets.

Nope -- it's lousy that school starts today, because now I have to deal with stupid teenage sloths at the high school on the corner getting in my way when I want to turn right :hairpull:
