Anyone else having problems logging on??

Is anyone else having major problems logging on to H&H?? I haven't been able to log on for weeks. I either get a blank screen or an Access Denied message.

I usually use Google Chrome. I was wondering if the brower was the problem, so I tried Firefox. That didn't work, so I tried Explorer and I was finally able to log on.

Use the old one if you want all the old features and to log in like you used to. I know they asked us not to but I'm not paying attention to that until the new address lets me log in.

I tried that but no difference for me, still missing emoticons and I still cannot get in with my old name. When I do login using the old address it appears to revert to the new system anyways.

I can still only log on with IE. And I only see half the icons.

I'm also confused about the new and old addresses

DBD, what do you mean by the old address?

I just tested the new site address and don't see the two smilies yet there they are on the old address. I don't know about you guys, but I am sticking with the old address until they work the bugs out of the new one. Besides, for me the new one is 'read only' as it still won't recognize me if I try and log in.

I'm still using my old bookmark too. On other sites, I've had problems with smilies since I upgraded to IE8.

testing  :clapping:

edited - seems like only one worked

all the smilies here are up and running and I use the old 'book mark' too.

Well, I guess you and DBD lucked out on that one. :) But looks like many of us are stuck with question marks! Oh well, I am used to it now, sort of seems the norm for me to see things half-operational. Gotta laugh!

I can see 4 clear smilies in that post but then I am still using the old address (forums.houseandhome.com).

Hey donnasinc, missed you too!!

I read the thread DBD posted -- looks like these problems have been going on for a long time.

So, I had to drop 'donnasinc' and completely re-register. Strange as it is, I have no problems logging in under this new name. So, same browser, same computer.
And reno-vator, sorry but I see an 'eek' then a question mark, then the cool guy with shades, then a question mark. So you may see them but I don't think they work for anybody at this point in time.

I am using all my old settings (bookmarked for forums.houseandhome.com) and am having no problems at all. I have never ever logged out (except on really rare occasions), and my "last visited is showing as yesterday ...

Sorry guys, using XP on and IBM machine with Explorer Oh, and I can see all the smilies, not sure if they work or not, but I will try some here

 :biglol:  :clapping:

I hadn't had problems for weeks and then all of a sudden I have been having a heck of a time logging in - takes two to three tries.
I also noticed that I have been stuck at "You last visited May 13th 2009 at 9:03 since - well likely May 13th....

I also really miss the emicons

Take a look at http://forums.houseandhome.com/showthread.php?p=229719 and you'll see most people are having problems.
