ready for Christmas ? I always find there is one more thing I could get DH; neither of us have big families, no major visiting or baking, we don't even spend a lot on each - money, that is , but hugs are plentiful !
As for what Santa is getting me, my parents go to Texas every winter, so I have my gift from the - in fact, am sitting on it right now, as it was an office chair for my computer desk; DH has got me my dream come true - a Dremel tool kit ! I know where it is, and my fingers are itching, and I keep seeing things in the house and thinking "Oh, the Dremel will fix that in a flash" but have resisted so far.
Just a few last-minute groceries to get and that's it done, done, done whatevre we don't have, we will make do without !
amy that is so sweet of your MIL.....every parent needs a break and what better time when xmas is done and we have all been running around like crazy....i hear you about the cleaning, i get the girls to edit to make room for thier new stuff, and they do have it done already...shocking i know lol my floors are going to be mopped off tomorrow and cleaning done as well....mind you xmas day the house is toast but it may be a mess, just not dirty. Enjoy your xmas and your much needed break and yes for heaven sakes dont visit friends with kids lol....i use to joke with my family and friends and would tell them when my children are gone, as much as i love yours, dont bring them to see me until my break is over...lol

I've got my "TO DO" lists all written, and I'm slowly crossing off the items.
I spent tonight hounding my boys to clean up- so Santa can walk to the tree with out getting injured :D I told them he might not bring them anything if he can't get out of the woodstove!! So the shopping is done, except for 1 or 2 items for DH's stocking. Everything is wrapped except the "Santa" presents, as they are in hiding and the paper will likely tear if I hide them wrapped. The only big things to do are house work- which I intend to get done tomorrow, with or without help. We're at MIL's Christmas Eve, and at my Moms Christmas Day, so I'd like everything spotless before then. Also, it's a lot easier to clean up the present opening mess, when everything else is clean.
My MIL is taking my youngest 2 boys on boxing day for 2 nights , and my oldest will be at his dads for 1 week. So DH and I are going to get some much needed relaxation. We're going to shop and go on a couple of dates, maybe even visit some friends who are childfree, and actually be able to have whole conversations! I can't wait to sleep through the night, no little men hopping into my bed and taking up my entire side (I usually just go sleep in one of their beds, instead of waking them up fully by moving them, then they'd be up for good). Oh, I can't wait FREEDOM, if only for 3 days. I love my kids but Merry Christmas to me I get a break !!!!!
:)
I am also happy to see you have taken the time away from your busy decor business to help out here too. Do you have your store front as yet, or are you still looking for just the right space....I hope the other decorators pop in again now too. It is always great for us members to help one another but equally as great for the pro help you all can offer us when time permits.
I am ready for Christmas as baking , wrapping, whatever is done. I asked for an electric fireplace.......... :)
i have asked santa for a faux fur blanket and i know its here already lol...i have not seen you around in a while homediva, but i think i remember you popping in once in a while, nice to see you back!
