Artworks store closing

HHassist's picture

I'm not sure what cities in Canada have Artworks stores, but at least one in my city is going out of business. Everything in the store is 50% off.

When I had the store credit a little while back, I had a feeling I should use it ASAP, just in case this happened.... somehow, I had a hunch. Good thing I bought my mirror when I did!!

Sucks that the store in Kanata is gone. I figured they'd have more stuff still in stock, seeing as the Kanata location is a lot bigger than the one at Carlingwood.

If they replace these stores with clothing stores, I'll be seriously ticked -- we need more home decor stores, not clothes stores!!!!

Oh well.... on the bright side, you saved me making a useless trip to Kanata tonight -- thanks!! :)

Actually, our Artworks stores are in the old Art & Home locations. Seems to me that they're the same company. I used to see so many nice things at Art & Home, but I couldn't afford most of them :(

The store in Carlingwood. They don't have too much left (they seem to have sold at least half their stock), but they still have some nice stuff. I was tempted to buy a black & white tree print, but I have nowhere to put it and it would really work better with a couple of others like it as a grouping.

I might check out the Kanata store tonight and see if they're having the same sale -- the Kanata store is a lot bigger.
