OK

Yes, I saw it too...could be why there's a number of new members.
I think they mention it in the magazine, that's how I found out about the website.
Not sure what you are doing but I just tried it with your post in that forum as a test and it copied (vs moved since I wasn't sure you wanted it moved) and it went okay. Maybe try again.
I can see if someone asks a question where a photo is really required so they might skip over that and go to a more straight forward question.
Smoodgie had a pic and no response. It was up for 3 hours before they shut down. Doesn't take us very long to respond as I stated before. It's a no brainer for an 'expert'
They just answer what they feel like. Smoodgie and Lasalles question were very simple and easy for an 'expert' to answer.
Observe again the next time this 'event' happens. All of a sudden you see a multitude of newbies.....where to they come from(?), how do these newbies know when the event is(?) if they are not regulars on the forum, we don't even know when they are going to happen. These 'expert' are only answering what they want to ....preselected questions and an very odd few from regulars.
Crap -- I can't move posts out of the Designer forum. Sorry :(
I guess anyone who wants to move their post to the D&D forum, you'll have to copy and paste your original post.
Told you it is STAGED!!! 99.9% of these new posters will never return or perhaps will return under a new name. That's because they are probably posting right beside the designer as he types. They are part of the staff.
But what would be the point of that? It's seems kind of silly if it is true.

I also was dissapointed with not answering to my post by designer team. But I got so much help from our members, so now i don't really care about 'Editors' reply.
Smoodgie: can you move please my post 'Area rug for the bedroom' to our regular decorating forum - this is the place where it belongs. thanks.:)
I think they took one look at that livingroom and assumed that you were a designer playing a trick on them. I mean really....I have gotten such great help on this forum from all of you. I am about to do my bathroom touch-up and it will be due to the motivation and ideas provided here by supposed decorator-wanna-bees. :bliss:
I think some of the people here have done a lot of "real" decorating and renovating that their experience has become priceless. OMG.... sounds like an ad for master card!
Not surprised Smoodgie that they didn't answer your question. You're a 'regular'. Your post was up for 3 hours and no answer....then they closed it down. Think about how long it takes for us to answer all the new posts of the day....hmmm NOT 3 HOURS

Well I'm disappointed that my post on the designer's forum wasn't addressed  I've been a member here for many years, and as some of you said, it's really annoying that regular/long-time members are ignored while people who signed up just to ask a question had replies to their questions. It's not the one-time posters who keep this place running......
But really, I'm not bitter :D
If you posted on the designer's forum and would like to have your post moved to the regular decorating forum, let me know and I'll move it for you. If the designer's won't help us out, we can help each other :)
too. Michael Penney went out of his way if you ask me...he was on way after the call of duty.:)
I think it is true that some people like to stay in the shadows but they deserve to have equal time to ask a designer their question. I think that is very important that people are sensitive to being inclusive. In general I feel that happens here on this forum.
I have been a member for over 5 years and regularly read posts, but, only post when I feel there is something I would like answered or need help. I posted four questions as we will be doing some major remodeling in the coming year, and was very pleased with how thorough and honest the designer was.
I don't think they are staged, I beleive some people just love to read posts and remain in the background, they want an actual designor answering their questions. We have a lot of knowlegable people on this forum but ask the Editor Design Forum is just that and should be treated that way.
Hope I am not offending anyone because I find this forum very helpful. Next week I probably will jump in and give my opinion on some of the questions when the Design Forum is completed. Hopefully these new members will stick around.
Wow...All I can say is kudos to Michael Penney today!! :applaud:
I think he has given honest, detailed responses to many 'posters' and has gone beyond the 'time restrictions'. I'm sure those who asked for advice are appreciative of this!!
Maybe we should try answering the questions whether the original poster wants us to or not :p
As you will see a pattern especially from yesterday. Active members very little response to questions asked, new members seem to be answered first.....even if the active members had their questions in first.
Attn H&H: If H&H plans a day like this in the future, please follow through with your committment and be fair and thorough with all members who ask questions. Thank you
a long time ago one of the designers did respond on one of my threads......then again i wouldnt blame them for not responding on mine, as im like a revolving door when it comes to doing our home :D , i can never make up my mind of what i like and what i dont, what looks good and what doesnt and besides i always get super fantastic advice from the forum buddies...lol

Hi Ladies,
I can't really complain as Stacy responded to my question today as well as last year:o I've been pleased with the responses as she has taken the time to go back & address my add'l comments/questions.
(I think I'll forego the accent wall and paint all walls a cream colour...I just have to get this room done and stop spending so much time agonizing over it;)
I was surpirsed though that they don't seem to get through more questions in the given time. There does seem to be a lot of new members posting questions for the Designer forum.
For those wanting questions answered, it seems that if you post closer to the time that an Editor goes 'live' (at noon), the better your chance of having your question answered might be. Although-in reality, they should probably start at the 1st posts and move forward in order received to be fair.
Showing pictures also helpful...we can all relate to that!
L.
I noticed they commented on one of my threads which seemed funny that so many questions were left unanswered?
I was surprised that so few questions were answered, the majority of people must feel very dissappointed.
I was thinking just that when I was reading them most I have never seen here before and the questions were so vague. But having said that Linda did answer one of my questions a couple of years ago. Didn't really get an answer more just a response.
