I bought out an antique shop in Nara, Japan about 10 years ago. I have approximately 4,000 to 5,000 pieces of Buddhist and Shinto art, religious antiques and architectural pieces from shrines and temples. I believe my things would be of interest to Buddhist communities, Japanophiles, antique dealers and designers. Does anyone know of a good auctioneer? Has anyone used an auction house to sell items? How was the experience? What should I expect? Can you think of any other way (short of opening a store or going the antique market route) that I can sell these items. Thanks for any help you can give me.
