Do a cupcake theme. Where everyone has to bring like a 1/2 dozen of cupcakes of their choice to share and designate specific themes to each person. Or have the party be about making the cupcakes. I always think a fun creative activity is the best at a shower/party or otherwise. :)

A friend of mine did a really fun one - celebrity babies! Provide each guest with a list of celebrity baby names and have them identify the parents (or vice versa)

She also did a baby animals game -for each type of animal listed, we had to identify the baby name (i.e. cat, kitten). Seems easy, but there are some really strange ones that no one knew!

She also did the baby/pregancy-related word scramble that Mirela mentioned.

For the food,it was a brunch (quiche, salads, etc.), and another friend made this baby carriage cake from Canadian Living:

This is just a brain wave...I have never seen it done though....Have all your guests bring a baby picture of themselves....post each one on a bristol board with a number beside each picture....have your quests names listed on the board.....Have each person match the picture to the name...The one with the most correct wins a prize...It is probably better if everyone knows each other or each quest could wear a name tag:)

This is a nice idea; a friend on mine did it but she asked us to bring baby pics of our kids (who are all teenagers now) not of ourselves - ans we had to match the baby with her mom

Another idea she used - scramble baby-related words and see who can figure out most words in 1-2 minutes. (Print a card for each guest)

I really like the idea of everyone writing baby advice in a guest book or telling them to put it on their gift. Everyone has great advice to share . Instead of playing games I would give each guest a gift. You can go to Homesense and buy so many things that are inexpensive. Put them all out on a table and each person can get one when their name is called. It thanks them for coming to the shower.

Buy a guest book.

Circulate it.

Have everyone write their good wishes and share some of their wisdom or baby advice.

Especially, their tele #'s for aid !!

:p

Have everyone bring a copy of their favourite kid's book.

I helped make a diaper cake that I saw on the internet and it was quite easy to do.

Here is one similar to give you an idea:
