i bought some fabric from a girl from off of DORG (my msn board), and today made a Baby pillow and blanket. I'm going to give it to the mom whose nursery I am decorating. First time I've ever done a baby project. :-)

DG, normally I use pillow forms, but I had a bag of poly stuffing that I wanted to use up. But if you use stuffing, you should always finish by using a roll of batting (the sheet), and cutting it and stuffing it down inside around the stuffing. It's not hard, and this way you get a smooth finish. :-)

That's really cute. I think homemade gifts are the most thoughtful gifts. I am sure it will be really appreciated.

I recently learned how to crochet and I am making a baby blanket for a friend. It is barcode stripes of soft blue, soft green, soft yellow, and off-white. Maybe, I will post a pic when I get finished mine too.

Sure, anytime :-) I made them both today. I have the damn head cold that's going around so I had some time on my hands. :-) I love to sew, it's so relaxing.

They're alphabet letters. This is the same nursery that I had 7 inch wood alphabet letters made that we are putting above a chair rail a foot down from the ceiling. It's going to really pull it all together. :-)
