I have an antique white kitchen with white appliances, my flooring is a medium brown 12x12 tile and counter tops are dark brown granite. I do not like stainless appliances. I am thinking of putting a white subway tile backsplash to coordiate with the appliances-to make things look more intentional. what do you think? my kitchen is small and open to family room - wall colour is similar to cabinets and there is oak railings and fire place in view. the style is more traditional/country help???

Hi Tammy,
Your kitchen sounds very similar to mine. If you think the subway tile would go with the brown granite go for it - it wouldn't be my first choice especially in a traditional/country kitchen. My first thought was something like a mosaic that includes hints of the brown countertop or a staggered strips of tile that includes some brown glass tile. I've seen this done in some English magazines.
I think that sounds like a lovely idea. I love subway tiles and white appliances are my second choice. Still like stainless first.
