I am currently undergoing painting my finished basement. The ceilings are quite low so I am doing a light wall colour but my question is will the room look smaller with dark trim around the doors (4) and baseboards? The reason for the dark trim is I painted an old door which leads to the outside a brown/blood red and the dark accent colour looks nice but might be too much. Looking for feedback before I go ahead and have a dark band running around the entire room?
