Hi Everyone,
The saga continues and looks like it's supposed to be a rainy weekend...so it's Decision time!
As you may recall, I was trying to figure out a paint colour for our bedroom and now have a tester pot collection of 20+ shades of off-white  ...some you'll see spotched on wall above headboard.
I also have a plain white linen duvet cover. What was throwing me off was the duvet cover (white/blue/brown) with the beigey headboard-now a mistake purchase in hindsight.
So..have bought brown velvet material and am having a slipcover made so I can change things up. I now don't mind the duvet-with the brown (have just draped material over for now)
Went out and bought Benjamin Moore Niveous-which is a mid tone creamy colour-one of Brian Gluckstein faves. Now, I'm questioning this and DH wants to paint this weekend so I need to decide soon!
Should I be considering another colour like a blue...ie similiar to colour in my family room (BM Beacon Gray) I've included picture again of this below too. Would this kind of colour work with Brown and Beige headboard or do I stick to creamy neutral.
I should also add that the blue sik curtains showing in 1 of the bedroom pictures aren't in this room anymore---another oopsey as they don't match bedding. Have to find a home for them elsewhere. I have the brown curtains and would consider some cream/off white linen curtains too. Have to get things right...my mistakes are adding up :o
I'm soooooo confused! Help!!!
Lisa

Hey Smoodgie...Your room could be one of Candace Olsen's from the insirational pics that Mrs Fancy has posted :) Thank you to both for these pics! All great looks...
At this point, I'l try Niveous (seeing that I have it) and see how it jives with me. If it doesn't work...what's the worse that can happen?? Another can of paint (blue) and oh...a slightly annoyed DH ;)
Stay tuned!
L.
... and this is to confuse you more ...if you decide to paint beige - here another look:
I don;t know if you like Candice's style of design, but i found that your br is very close to this her design - big feature wall in dark brown, light blue walls (i think it has more grey tone in it) and blown headboard, hopefully you'll get inspired.
We have a chocolate brown velvet bed in our master bedroom. The walls are Debbie Travis Manta Gray. I think the two colours work great together -- if you're considering a bluey gray for your room, I highly recommend it. Or, if Manta Gray is too dark for you, the next colour down is really nice too -- Silver Satin.
Hi Lisa I think you should stick with the creamy white that you have been trying to find and hopefully Niveous is it. I think it will work well with brown headboard and curtains. Add blue gray accents instead of on the walls since you other room is that colour.
For some reason I do not care for the brown wall but that is me I am not crazy about feature walls. Go for the creamy white.
Ohhh...thanks Jeep! I had forgotten about that thread.
I'm actually liking the one with the blue-ish wall behind the headboard and then the neutral colours on others wall. Could do that too! (and ditch the brown wall that I have now) Maybe...maybe I should consult with DH? (or not!)
I know I've been down this road before and struggled with deciding and thus, room still not done
Lots of options...
I will bump up the thread titled " Need Pictures Please" by Oreokitty there are some good pictures of blue and brown bedrooms that might give you an idea as which way you want to go.
