We have these "built-ins" in our bedroom (from IKEA) and recently bought this headboard (from West Elm). Walls are BM-336 'nubuck'. Wanted ideas for nightstands - what colour would work best. And, was thinking of painting wall behind headboard for effect. Would love to wallpaper, but not sure budget/ability allows for this.

For a pleasent effect you must take proper care of lighting around this headboard.
Thank you, Mrs. Peacock. I should have mentioned that floors are medium oak and bedding is open for change. The baseboards and trim are painted white. Open for bedding suggestions. I like what you have suggested in bedside tables. Any suggestions on where to get the bedside tables? Thanks again for your help!
Not sure what else you have in the room such as carpet, bedding, etc. I would probably go dark or black as you have alot of gold/beige colour already. The dark would be a nice contrast especially if you have dark colours in your bedding. Also, an open concept night stand would be nice, possibly with a shelf underneath and you can stack some books under there.
