Take it from someone who knows, do not mess with your metabolism. Yes eat healthy. Use the Mayo clinic food pyramid, not the US or Canadian food guides (which have more to do with politics and land use than health). Also do not eat low fat (don't eat bad fats, but you must eat fat). Low fat is the biggest farce to hit the public and again I can tell you that it's just asking for high cholesterol, weakened blood vessels, diabetes, and cells that just don't work as they should. Really, I have the body and metabolism to prove it out. Screwed up totally and completely from following all the 'accepted' crap for years.
Do not diet or eliminate basic whole foods if your body weight is right or even close to right. If you concentrate on whole foods, as they are found in nature (not processed) you will be eating right. Above ground veggies are better for you than below ground. Stay to the outside isles and you'll be making good choices.
What you have to remember with that book (I assume) is the folks on that show were all obese and as such had screwed up metabolisms and that means special needs. What you also don't know is what has happened to them besides losing fat. I found a great way to lose weight once and nearly lost my liver in the process so I know how things are not always what they may appear to be at first.
Anyway, be careful because you could screw up a system that is probably working just fine if you take off in a direction that you don't need to.
it's both...the people in it lost tons of weight....but they are all healthy low fat low cholesterol recipes
I saw an ad in the Calgary paper yesterday for SureSlim and it was claiming that one women lost 110lbs in 11 weeks. How can that be safe and why would you want to advertize your product like that. Jen is this a diet book or just a cookbook with healthly recipes.
more of just a healthy eating thing....i don't eat enough greens and veggies and stuff....more of a lifestyle change...know what i mean?
