You made me choke on my drink when I read that... now everytime I see Brian I'm going to gluck gluck gluck...
...yes but he has glamorous socks. A man with such glamorous socks does not belong in a chicken coup, shazam!!!!
I just keep hearing a chicken whenever I see his name. Don't care much for his furniture line nor the man himself.
Brian is a very charming gentleman with a sweet and funny side. He definitely says 'we' all the time and he's great with the people he works with.
he's a contractor who fancies himself a designer!
I agree Schatzi, Brian is the epitomy of gentleman and he wears the most amazing shoes!
had never seen his sense of humour to that degree before. He definitely has his own style ....as far as Ramsin (Ramsen) is concerned, he's a good designer but no man is an island. It irritated me that he even answered questions on air that were directed to Brian. Brian was a gentleman to let him constantly interrupt...:(
Yes, he was funny alrighty. He's had his moments in the past, but today was out loud laughing when he did his run on the street and I bet he really will try and get that scene for his house.
A true Corrie fan...reading ahead and all.
I love Brian's style and I think he was great today, so funny. My fantasy involves 1 million dollars and Brian's help to spend it decorating MY dream mansion. That would be great!!!
Love everything he does.
LL
oh yes slightly worn and distressed.
Like a cottage feel almost. I hear you.
like a lot of other styles, and I love modern art, but things that are slightly worn or distressed are my favourites...as long as they are not too frilly, kwim?
Glad to hear I am not alone!!
I too like some of the shabby chic, you are not alone as I think a few members here like it too.
will be so proud of Brian... Ramsden confessing his love of Y&R in university was mildly disturbing... guess he felt that Brian was getting all the love!!! As it should BE!
I don't feel so much like a nerd admitting that I am a Coronation Street fan. (I don't usually talk about it much to avoid the withering looks, the same kind of looks I get when I admit that I still like shabby chic...)
It did make Brian seem very human...
I saw Cityline this morning as well and thought Brian was hilarious. It showed the human side of him and he was absolutely delightful!
called and asked me to do a booth at her next Flea Market in Toronto - whereby where I will be doing "5 Minutes to Ask a Designer"... that reminds me, I have to send them some paperwork! Of course they won't call it Ask a Designer because we know that that is trademarked by our beloved H&H. I think it should be Win, Lose or Draw with a Designer... 5 Minutes with an Opinionated Redhead is a little daunting...
Best send them the paperwork!
about a year ago for the first time. He is boyishly cheeky and charming! He has a great eye but the branding they have done of him is well bland. I am also not thrilled with the quality of the casegoods in his line.
After seeing him again today, I'm smitten with him all over again.. of course that's in a total platonic sense!
As for his sense of style, I think that he puts excellent bones into a space. However, I would like to spice his designs up a bit and often do when a client asks for a Gluckstein look.
I love cityline! They all seem to have so much fun together. I wish there were more shows just like it. I never cared for Kimberley Seldon's show or her for that matter and then she started appearing on Cityline and seems so different and quite enjoyable to watch also.
Redheron,
We had this discussion awhil back I love him!!
I saw him In Ashley's once looking at the Versace line with a friend.
Some say that he is not the great designer we all think he is it is his great team and he has not much direct designing influence he's more about marketting.
What do you think?
he is paired with Ramsden... Can't stand him! He overtalks Karen Kayne all the time - he always uses "I"... "I designed this" "I wanted this for the room" yada yada yada... Now when you hear Brian speak.. he always uses "WE"...
