Yes...you may think I am crazy but I like balloon shades! I have not had them since the 90's and decided to replace my roman with a balloon shade in my kitchen eating area. I always liked how they were inbetween being formal and informal. Crazy or not? I have a very old home, and kind of think it works.

Your window area is so festive! Also, if you like the shades, then that's what matters. Balloon shades look a bit more at home in traditional spaces.
The balloon shade looks great in your space. I've always loved toile!
I think ballon shades have their place in a home, if it works in your home then it's all good !
