I went to Mt. Desert Island Maine for the long weekend on a bike and hike trip. The homes were simply beautiful in all the small villages but one thing I noticed several times was the way people positioned their brooms, handle down and broom end up.
Here I go, dumb question I am sure :p but is that the "proper' way to stand a broom. It makes sense when I think about it since my broom always gets a curve in it after a month or so of use.
I am talking about the corn/straw or whatever brooms that you often use outdoors.
What a great location for a bike trip BTW!

I'm about to go running through the house and turn all of mine "upside down" - let's see, who needs some good luck ..
When standing a broom, place the bristles up, handle to the floor. This not only insures that the bristles last longer, it is good luck.
OMG! Does that explain any bad luck I have had?
Just a note: I have now got my handle down and brown up. Just wish my house looked like some of those I saw in Northeast harbour Maine.
