to some pretty, to me a nuisance.
BUTTERCUPS have the above ground weed
tentacles that are difficult to eradicate.
they are taking over my front lawn and
although i have tried pulling the **&#@'s
out by hand, and using roundup
(with a paint brush), i have yet to conquer it.
any ideas?

Me too! I sure wish I'd thought to ask about this on the Friday special gardening forum. I never seem to be rid of buttercups in the lawn!
When we lived in a townhouse, the gardening contract included weed-and-feed type applications, none of which got rid of the stuff in my lawn. Now that we have our own house, again with a lawn filled with buttercups, we have not yet dealt with it. I too would love to know what works.
