A friend sent me this recipe -- considering the fact that you can make it in 5 minutes, it isn't bad!! :)
DANGEROUS CHOCOLATE CAKE-IN-A-MUG
1 coffee mug
4 Tbsp. cake flour (plain, not self-rising)
4 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 egg
3 Tbsp. milk
3 Tbsp. oil
Small splash of vanilla
3 Tbsp. chocolate chips, optional
Add dry ingredients to mug, mix well with a fork.
Add egg, mix thoroughly.
Pour in milk and oil and vanilla, mix well.
Add chips, if using.
Put mug in microwave, and cook for three minutes on 1000 watts.
Cake will rise over top of mug--do not be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little; tip onto a plate if desired.
Eat!
(This can serve two if you want to feel slightly more virtuous.)
***And WHY is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only five minutes away from chocolate cake any time of the day or night!!!***

After I read the comments about the cake, I realized I was doing something wrong -- my cake came out solid. I just made it again and cooked it on medium power for about 2-1/2 minutes -- OMG, it's SO much better!!!! I have chocolate sauce on the bottom this time :)
Ah, diet, shmiet -- eat right, exercise, die anyway :D
I have to try this! Perfect for that I-need-a-sugar-fix-NOW feeling, lol.
I have saved the recipe and I am going to use it for the kids' teachers' christmas present.
Of course, we will have to test it at home a couple of times to make sure we get it just right!
 We're not all on diets anymore? ;)
It works. Thank you. Great idea, I had purchased something similar in a gift box. The gift box consisted of a mug and the cake mixture but you used a regular oven. You could still put all the dry ingrediants inside the mug with the receipe and it would :rolleyes make an excellent gift. But why give it away, it is good. Try with whipped cream.
Would this be the recipe for volcano choco cakes or similar to pot de creme chocolat- the center is oozy & runny goodness !!
Smoodgie......I made it.......it came out good....it's consistency is like an in-between of pudding and brownie.....I put less sugar and I just tasted a bit of it and it's good but maybe next time I'll bake under 3 mins.
Try cooking it a bit less than 3 minutes -- maybe 2-1/2 minutes. Depends on how powerful your microwave is, but better to have it a but under-cooked than over-cooked.
OMG, Smoodgie.........I'm going to try it this evening for my DS...my hubby and I are on a diet, I'll just smell it and it will be enough:p
