It has dropped in price now, you should be able to get it for under 200 or slightly over, depending on where from.
I have the Sony cyber shot 4 pixel also...bought it last Christmas at Future Shop for $279...but I think they are even cheaper now...............it has many options...most I don't even know how to use...but I have had no problems.........................
If you are simply using it for screen viewing a 3.2 - 4 megapixle camera will work just fine. It.s when you get into printing them and blowing them up that you need a higher one. For both a nice 5 megapixle camera will do nicely as long as you are not blowing it up past an 8"x10" picture.
yours takes very lovely shots too pearl, beautiful flowers!...and 4 pix is all mine is and does a fine job for what i need, and if i can use it, anyone can

some from the garden...actually my Cyber Shot is only 4.0 I just checked. :) I find it is not bad at all on close ups.
I had one for a few years and found it very easy to use and it took nice photos. I think it was 3.0 MP. You do not need more than 3-4 megs pixels for the normal family picture taking.
I lost it it and bought on sale a Sony Sure SHot...this one is just as easy and I think it is 4.0 MP>
I also bought the MS Picture It! software on sale and that is very easy to set up.
You do not need any special software though. I wanted it for a project I was working on.
janet the photos from your new camera are really life like and clear.
wow janetc that is a good price and your picture looks great! :)
i just bought the kodak share camera and so far it seems easy....and takes nice pics...it is a 4 mega pix at walmart on rollback for 169.00...im loving it. I know nothing about them, i just said i want this one....i was playing yesterday and quickly took a pic of my daffodils....i think it did pretty good with no effort
