Okay I need some fresh viewpoints, arguements, incentives. I have so much to do around here and I just can't get motivated, so convince me please.
If I would just put down my cork flooring I could have my new appliances delivered (I don't want them here until then because I will never get the dishwasher out again once it's in and I want the floor under it). The store has been holding them since the beginning of the month.it's totally nice out when it comes to temperature and I still have some painting to do but here I sit, playing on the Internet. The temp is also nice enough that I could go pick some things up at stores I need to go to and take the dog (which is key since she gets hysterical if left home alone), but here I sit knowing within 2 days it's supposed to hit the 30's again. There is even a package at the post office waiting for me... a new watch I ordered...still not interested in moving.
I've told myself the timing and everything is perfect, I'm tired of having old grotty appliances (I rarely cook cuz the stove is so icky), I need to feel more settled, there is limited time to do outdoor things... and here I sit, totally unmotivated.
Would someone apply some kicks please.

Your Tim's should be open. I thought they were all open 24 hours, the whole mission of Mr. Horton when he opened the things was 24 hours. Might be worth the drive.
   sniffle sniffle
Okay, what is a pod and how much energy would that be? Is it like pod people (which if you are an old x-files fan was the episode they filmed outside of Calgary....guess we are the home of the pods which is no comfort. Of course that was also the episode where Muldar arrived in Calgary and was greeted by a 'welcome to Calgary' sign posted on some proverbial Canadian log cabin so maybe they have their pod people facts off too).
Meanwhile, I did get the one last box of tiles I needed tonight to finish that patio. If I am waking up the way I think I am (I am a night person) I may get the kitchen floor screwed down tight tonight so I can start laying that floor tomorrow (right after I figure out how to disconnect the dishwasher or at least how to lay the floor so the second it is disconnected I can just snap some pieces in there before they put in the new one). Too bad there are neighbours or I could be out there right now with my hammer putting those tiles in.
At least the dog is totally happy. We drove by my old place and her favourite pal was outside (the only dog she will ever play with) so we stopped for a frolic. She hasn't played with him since we moved 6 weeks ago so she seems to be all content now. I wish she would socialize with other dogs so we could find her someone closer to home.
Jenjen I did get you an Iced Cap and it's really tastey too. It's unfortunate the things melt because I couldn't see it lasting till morning so, well, I'm drinking it now.

LOL, my daughter is just as bad, my new bf works for Ford so the odd time he gets to bring a mustang home for the day or weekend she loves it when he goes extra fast in it. I am trying to convince him to buy one... (so I can drive it)
hehehe...yes i've gotten out of a speeding ticket before...i have a very heavy foot and my boys encourage me...i had ds#2 sayin' woooohoooo from the back the other when i squealed the tires makin' the left hand turn from 13 to 23...then she went squirrly on me...it was so much fun...ok i need to stop talkin' about this or i'm gonna go for a drive... :D
Jen jen,
for some reason I think if you got pulled over for speeding you would be able to get out of the ticket... Those bends on highway 12 are to much fun to drive around, its where I got my only speeding ticket ever! MEAN COP lol
i'm surprised i haven't got a speeding ticket....she's so awesome going upDurham 23...like i'm on autoban...lol...all those curves and bends...she just sails :D ...besides less farm tractors on 23 then there is on 12...and well if i'm gonna g to Port for a Timmies then i might as well go to the casino...i'd be halfway there
Oh I know, but I am pretty sure that is a 24 hour timmies there and if not there there is one in Port Perry! and in your yellow stang that should only take about 5 mins... LOL
well CG...you know how far a Timmies is from me...i'd have to go to Uxbridge and you know that nothing in Uxbridge is open this time of night.. :D
Ok there must be something in the Ice Cap .. cuase ever since I read that DBD was going to get one I have wanted one... I live in Downtown TO and there isnt a Timmies anywhere near me I would have to take a subway for about 10 mins to get to one...

ugh i'm not a fan of Raunchy Ronalds.... :hurl:..their milkshakes are about the only good thing they have there....
is the water advisory still on?
talk about tacky........Mickey Dees, because of course none of the restaurants could serve fountain pop, they said you could have a milk, chocolate milk, bottled water or a milkshake and then had the nerve to charge extra for the milkshake.........why offer it in the list of substitutes
smiles
janetc
poor jenjen  you should have seen everyone here when timmies could only serve regular cofffee and tea and that was limited... when the water advisory was on...........my sister was freaking she couldnt get her french vanilla
smiles
janetc

go DBD...go girl!!!
If you drive as fast as you post you could probably be here by sun up.
Anyway, Corrie is over so I guess I'll slick my messy hair back and do HOme Depot. I need some more tiles to finish my back patio thingie and they were closed last night when I wanted to finish it.
Will back away from the keyboard...make motions like I am going some where and hope it takes form.
ok i'll swing by and pick you up and take for a ride in my car...how does that sound??...windows down..loud music...sounds like a plan to me...let's see how long would it take me to drive to Calgary...
I slept enough that is for sure...just not into moving around or motivated to do anything although the news just got me quaking. The question of the day had to do with killing frost and pointed out we can expect it within 2 months. Crap that makes me feel ill.
Oh, Corrie St. is on. That will keep me in my chair for another 30 min.
more guilt might work...I need some of whatever your on to get me moving I think.
well i did a lil outside grabbed my beer and made my lil seating area by the pond...puttered around the house a lil not much...my brother came to visit me...went for a swim with the boys..then had some dinner...homemade fried chicken and homemade mac and cheese..stuffed myself silly and now i'm havin' a coffee and don't plan on doing a darn thing for the rest of the nite...so i'll sit here with you DBD...alot help i am huh...LOL
I have had the same feelings this week, for me its this heat though. Maybe a good nights sleep will help you feel better and then you will want to do stuff in the morning. I would just focus on how good your house will look once its all done, and how nice it will be to cook on your new stove stuff like that.
Well I'll make sure to get one for you if I go. I probably need one with double caffeine or something. Too bad they don't deliver. Nealy 7 pm here and I have done nothing today.
NOpe... still sitting here feeling a little guilty but not enough to actually move more than my fingers to type. I haven't even eaten any junk food today so I can't even blame low blood sugar. Guess my attitude just plain stinks today.
oh oh oh oh....i'll take a Timme's Ice Cap...french vanilla please :D
Well that might be a good excuse if it was hot here....it's only 18 so the temp is ideal for all sorts of things. Maybe this is a hangover from when it was hot last week?
I still can't get moving. Even tried to tempt myself with a Tims Ice Cap if I got out and got going but it's not working.
I can totally relate to that feeling. It is too warm & humid to do much. Even with a/c this weather makes me VERY lazy....no motivation is a common state right now among many who do not tolerate the heat well. :)
