Canadian Magazines

Seems like a few Canadian magazines are disappearing. I had a subscription to Wish magazine and when it closed down, the publishers sent me Elle Canada for the balance of the subscription. Now I got another copy of Elle Canada - Canadian Home & Country has shut down. Fortunately my subscription had just finished anyway and I wasn't planning to renew it. I'm not crazy about Elle - not enough to interest me there. It seems like very high end fashion.

I no longer get House & Home - I just don't care for it all that much to get it on a regular basis, but I still enjoy Style At Home, so I still have a subscription for that and I hope it continues. I also just subscribed to More magazine - it seems similar to Wish, but aimed at the 40+ crowd.

it is shocking that all these magazines are being discontinued. I would be devastated if i didnt have magazines, they are my sanity ;) I still enjoy H&H and Style at Home.

I still get H&H, I have noticed a difference in the magazine now that Suzanne Dimma is the editor, I like the magazine a lot better now. I quit Style at Home for awhile.:)

I still subcribe to House & Home and Style at Home...love them both.

H & H seems to feature more 'dream' homes than those featured in Style at Home. The inspiration pics are nice to look at (in H & H), but I usually find more ideas that I could apply in my own home in Style at Home.

Depsite some great blogs, I still look forward to getting my mag in the mail and enjoying some time to flip through. (when you spend all day on a computer, I like being able to read a real magazine or book...and not having to stare at my computer to do it;))

I actually did pick up the June issue. I have to say that it's definitely better than it had been. I still won't get a subscription, but I'll probably pick up the odd issue.

I stopped reading H&H a few years ago. But I was curious to see if it's changed since Suzanne Dimma took over as editor, so I bought the May issue. And I have to say, I was impressed. The articles and featured homes were much more reasonable than the 12,000 sq ft cottage that pushed me over the edge a while ago!! And there was a lot of colour!!

I bought the June issue too but haven't read it yet. If it's another good issue, I might start a new subscription to H&H.

I've been getting Style At Home for quite a few years and still like it. I started a Canadian Home Trends subscription a few months ago as well.

It's good to support Canadian publications :)
