The flower buds on my canna is finally open and it absolutely beautiful. Its a bright yellow covered in orange freckles. I lost the origanal tag so I am not sure what this one is called.
I love cannas. We bought a new one this year and it's already bloomed, but my husband also planted some old ones (he had them stored in the basement) - we weren't sure if they would do anything, but they are definitely going to bloom as well. They are gorgeous.
I have three urns with cannas and only one is showing sign of flowering. I notice the buds on tuesday but they are still not open yet. This pot has a nice yellow flower and I am hoping they will open over the weekend. If you are only going away for the weekend you should be back in time to see your flower open.
