Hey!!! Wha' happen?!!! Someone forgot to tell me we were moving!!! I've just spent rather a lot of time trying to figure out how the heck to work this new website ... but I think I see light at the end of the tunnel! I'm really not big into "change."
Just wanted to drop in and show you my black dining room side panels now that I've finally actually hung them up. I looked at my old post, and it seemed to go on ... and on forever ... so I thought I'd just put a couple of new images on here and maybe some of the old gaggle of brilliant minds are still lurking out there.
I am really happy with my side panels. I found very nice finials in the old gold ... that picks up the hardware on my china cabinet. I decided I wanted 21" rods with just the one finial on each end.
The panels were about 2" too short for the way I wanted to mount them. As luck would have it, the hems were exactly what I needed. Tonight I let down the hems, ironed the panels and put them back up. Perfect!!! I am soooo happy!
So, what I want to ask you is: Now what? The photos really don't give you much feeling for the entire space, but you get the idea. That window is our only bad view. It's another building.
It was suggested to me by one or more of you that tie backs were passe. I'm looking at my panels and thinking they just might need "something."
What do you think of one of those metal (I'd use the same old gold as the finial) hooks that holds back the panels?
I look at my pictures and am immediately reminded of how much I wish my husband (bless his thrifty heart) was keen to have the place painted in a fabulous colour.
