Every kid loves mini Pogos or hot dogs wrapped in Pilsbury crescent roll dough. Chicken tenders are always a hit. I sometimes make cupcakes instead of one big cake (pile them up pyramid style). Cupcakes are so much easier to serve and eat. Some 3 year olds can be a little clumsy, so go to dollar store and look for cheap plastic cups with lids you can poke a straw through. You'll avoid a lot of spills. Also, don't serve fruit juice, grape juice or cola. Opt for the "almost clear" apple juice or white grape juice. If it's going to spill, it might as well be something that won't stain like crazy.
