Am looking for a T & G wood plank option, without knots that could be painted or stained. Anyone have any experience or knowledge about what is available and where it can be purchased. Some Armstrong options don't seem to be available in Canada???? Any input would be appreciated. The cottage is not used in the winter, hoping a lot of Ontario cottagers are viewing.

We put up the Armstrong press paper tile version of t&g planks. I am not sure it that is what you are referring to when you mentioned Armstrong. We live in southern Ontario and purchased it by special order through either Home Depot or Rona (can't remember which) approximately 10 years ago. You definitely have to special order it though, you won't find it on the shelves of the big box stores.
Check out your lumber stores, or specialty stores that carry lumber and see what they stock. Some will be on line - in Oshawa there is a great store on Ritson Road that I can't think of the name right now, but they sure know their wood.
Since you don't want knots that rules out pine and likely cedar. Mahogany? Cherry? Not sure, but good luck.
