Hi! Last year I had a surplus of plums and green tomatoes and for some stupid reason made them both into chutney [plum chutney and green tomato chutney - not mixed together] recipes that I got off the internet. They taste good, but I have a ton of it and am looking for some more ingenious ways to use them up. A person can only make so much curry! Thx.

pork chops, shredded pork, pork tenderloin, pork medalions - chutney and pork were made for each other I think :)
I love homemade chutney on top of homemade veggie burgers (bean patties).
It is also great on sandwiches - some prosciutto and chutney, with a great cheese . . . Yum!
I find many used for chutneys, especially good on cold meats.
Why not make spag. sauce and even add a few green tomatoes to it.
Bag and freeze, and of course fried green tomatoes are delicious. Also my friend makes dill green tomatoes that are aslo very good.
house and home had a recipe for gourmet grilled cheese using fresh bread, old cheddar cheese and chutney. grill the whole thing and serve. i have tried it with mango chutney and 10 year old cheddar - it was great.
