Condo - What colors??

We moved in a year ago, and lived with the peachy beige walls. I hate them! I have to paint something, quick. I want cheerful and colorful- I'm not really into all the beiges and browns ... The problem is we have dark wood furniure in the bedroom, study, and kitchen cabinets - and black modern in the living room. I need soemthing that goes well with both, since the kitchen living room are open and share the same 2 walls.

We have lots oflight- 2 walls in each room are windows. I REALLY like benjamin moore raindance- there was a photo of it in a magazine and I fell in love- it went so well with the expresso wood they used. So I think it would look great with either the cabinets or in the bedroom...not sure about matching it with the black leather couches...what do you think? I think it might pair better with white furniture... I'm really hopign when I buy a tester that iw ill like it! Last time, the color looked completely different on my walls that it did in the picture (I wanted candy capple green, ti came out avocado)

Something else I ran across was a baby nursery in a target catalogue- dark red toned crib/change table, with this beautiful blue on the walls. Too bad they didn't post colors. It wasn't a bright baby blue, which I don't like, but it looked very elegant and camling- kind of brown or grey in it.. I was thinking the green-ish raindance in the living room/halls, and a kind of blue in the bedroom...what do you think? Any suggestions on which blue I could try, maybe a similar shade/tone to match the raindance? I am looking at the parma grey, by farrow and ball (also featured in the magazine, different room). Style at home canada, April 2009 issue, if it matters
