My DH is giving a few of the teachers he works with cookie canisters (filled with Shortbreads) as gifts. I'm looking for as many canister ideas as you can think of, from wicker baskets to old coffee cans... does anyone have any unique or interesting variations of a cookie container? Thanks bunches!

Have you ever made the gingerbread boxes featured in last November or December's H&H? I made them for Christmas gifts for my children's teachers and they were a big hit! They really aren't that difficult... it took me a few tries to get the thickness of the sides for the boxes right, but once I did, it was a breeze. I filled them with cookies, homemad candy , etc
