Wow, gotta love your reaction, smoodgie :) ! And the best part, there are new recipes added everyday.
Chowhound is not so glossy, since it's a forum just like this one, but the info you can get there is very extensive. If you're going to Paris and wondering where to go and what to eat, you have locals to help you out. Of course same is valid for our home towns as well. Since Toronto is a varied multicultural city, it's a good way for me to keep in touch with what's going on foodwise.
I love Epicurious as well, although there I am usually going when I know what I want to do, or what ingredients I have in my fridge, and give it a search.
OH MY GOD. The Tastespotting web site is TOTALLY FABU!!!! Holy crap!!! Thanks so much for posting the link!!
I'm afraid to go to the Chowhound web site now -- I already have a list of over 30 recipes from the Tastespotting web site that I have to make!!
I usually go to www.epicurious.com and www.allrecipes.com for recipes. Tastespotting is DEFINITELY moving to the top of my food web site list!! :bliss:
Hi Jeep, glad you like the site, lots of gorgeous pictures with mouth-watering effects :).
Chowhound is a forum of food obsessed people, with sections for various international regions, discussing about local restos and food, but also has home cooking or media related sections where you can ask about/share recipes.
I like to check what is new in the food-related business, and just like here, you get to learn a lot of new things :).

Wow I will have to spend more time at that site but it looks like a really good one. I also love to search for great cooking sites. The one that was posted here earlier Pioneer Women has a lot of great idea and also great pictures. What is chowhound.
