hi all, i'm debating on whether to dish out the money now to have hardwood installed on my upper floor or to leave it as parquet and years later have it removed and install hardwood. my question is, roughly how much does it cost to remove the parquet? i heard its a bit of money since its hard to remove it since its glued to the subfloor.

Putting down the new floor is the hard part
To get rid of the old one you only need a few male friends , a case of beer and a fireplace. Work done - but be careful not to add too much beer.:D
Seriously - it isn't all the difficult to do and there no doubt will be many people who could use the wood to restore other projects or just burn..
