I see that wainscoting is making a huge comeback, particularly in bathrooms lately and I must say that I'm quite fond of the look.
I know that it obviously depends on the size of your room but generally speaking, is this an expensive exercise and would it be a nightmare for a novice? I assume Home Depot carries the supplies necessary for this project?

Tammyara, firstly I don't know if you've read the "Help" section above. It can be very, well, helpful with getting the exact numbers for posting pics.
But now that I'm here:
The picture dimensions can be no wider than 350 pixels wide, and the file size not larger than 250k.
If you've already tried this, or think you've tried it, send the original to webmaster@canhomepub.com and I'll see how I can help out.
Cheers
Jason

Hi Tammyara,
i wonder if you will read this but I was wondering if you had a pic of the bathroom that you used the wainscot in. Sounds like about the same size as ours. I was wondering what you put on the bath walls?
thank you
Hi
I put wainscoting in a very small bathroom when we redecorated it last year. I think my bathroom is the smallest one I've ever been in (you can touch the bathtub with your knees while sitting on the john and can wash your hands at the same time small!!!). We replaced the powder blue fixtures with white and we put wainscot around on all available walls. I painted it a crisp white, and put a chair rail around the top. We installed a pedestal sink due to the lack of room. I painted the top of the walls a deep purple (the deepest purple I could find) and the end result is very sharp. I'm going away in around 10 minutes, but I'll try to post a picture of it for you next week. It's really a neat look.
Later.
Home Depot sells sheets 4'x4' I think of several designs of wainscoting.....cheapest $20 per sheet. Can be special ordered, min. sheets 20 I think.
Now I am getting excited about this future project and thanks for quoting the price. The room is small so this will not be as costly an exercise as I thought (how often does THAT happen?)
You must be so happy with your rooms. I am sure they look amazing.
I have just installed it to my dining room and kitchen. The Home Depot carries 32"X4' (under $8 per sheet) sheets of wainscotting, as well as 4'X8' sheets. We bought the smaller sheets, they are already precut to the height I wanted and the bonus is that they fit into my Tracker! We added a nice chair rail and painted (the wonderful thing is it comes preprimed!) it looks wonderful. Good luck.
I have realized the comeback of this unique look as well. I think it can really add to the room, unfortunately I do not know anything about it either, but wanting to find out more as well.
