Hi all,
Well I have finished putting up polyfoam crown molding in my living room. Not too bad a job, very easy to work with.
Here's my glitch, I chose a molding with dentil & rope design = lots of little squares cut out..........Anyone know how to paint this?????
I know how to paint, just wondering if there is an easy way to paint all these little squares.
Tried a foam brush, not great as you have to apply pressure to get into the corners and if you have any amount of paint in the brush ooooops got lots of drips happening :o)))
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks a bunch
Elizabeth

We painted dentil crown at my niece's house last year. We used 1 inch brushes--------take your time (two coats.) It really turned out great. A professional painter saw it and thought we had painted it before it was put in but it was there when they bought the house. My niece and her DH were just learning how to paint so we felt pretty good about his opinion!

Any sort of detailing like that requires extra work. Often a really long floppy bristled brush works well (think small, like under 2.5" wide). the other brush you may need to get is a small art brush (or Q-tip) to get into the really small places.
