We are going to install crown moulding in our guest room. I was wondering if we could use "no more nails" on the crown moulding. I know you can use "no more nails" for the baseboards. It will be small and nothing fancy crown moulding, do you recomond using real nails to hold it up? tia

sounds like something my dad(a cabinet maker/carpenter) would say...LOL
I asked the same thing to my DH and he said if you're a good carpenter, you'll put the wood behind it....hope that helps
Oh ok then more nails it is! soooooooo then do they always put wood behind crown moulding to hold it up??
Chea, You can put the crown moulding without any nails, but I don't think it will be safe, even if you put a few nails here and there. My DH just put one up in our family room and he put wood underneath so that he will have support to nail it in.....it will never fall on us, for sure....by the way, my DH is a lic. carpenter.
ok...let me re-think my answer then...didn't realize it was guest room...LOL
Yes that's what we where thinking jenjen, i wouldn't want the crown moulding to fall onto our guest's heads! They may not want to visit us again tee hee
i can't see why not but just to be on the safe side...maybe you should add a few finishing nails here and there just in case
