So I went for my first visit yesterday. It was quite a workout, it doesn't sound like much but if you put yourself really into it I can see where you'd get results.
I wasn't too sore today because I am reasonably fit but I could feel it. It's more expensive than a regular gym I found but it is women only and the clubs tend to be on the small side so it has a more friendlier feel to it. It's the closest workout place to home anyway.
They tested me for my body fat percentage and it's 24% which shocked the person doing the test, I guess she thought it should be higher given my size. I'm overweight for sure just looking at me and according to the BMI test but I have good muscle tone and I'm quite strong. I probably have rippling muscles under this fat suit I wear  But now I want to take it off.

I've lost 12lbs since Christmas. :p
Last year when I tried just dieting alone I never lost that much from January to March.
A big secret I think I will share is to increase the protein I was having at breakfast, by eating 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. Breakfast was mostly carbs I realized.
I'm having almonds and an apple for snacks but I really have to force myself to eat them because I am more full.
I even sat across from someone at dinner last night who was shoving pizza in his face and I didn't even feel like grabbing it from him and devouring it myself.
Hi Arizona, I was a Curves member for over 4 1/2 yrs and I did get results, lost inches and weight. It was perfect for me since it was close to home, 30 minute routine and it was a comfortable place to workout.
The best advice I have is schedule your workouts like an appt. on your calendar, make it a commitment as part of your weekly routine. This is your time 3 times a week and eventually it will become a good habit that you do not want to break.
I now belong to a gym which I try to go 4 to 5 times a week and make it a part of my schedule. Keep up the great workout!
