I see them on TV all the time and have wondered if they really work. Now that there is only 2 of us I find it hard to use up all the fresh veggies and fruit before it spoils. I would love to find something that help keep it a little longer. Has anyone ever trie these bags or found anything that works.

I've seen reviews on them and basically most weren't impressed and especially with what happened to their bananas which actually got bad faster I guess.
There used to be discs available in the grocery stores here (in the produce dept) that really did work to keep produce longer (you left them in the fridge draws). I don't know if they are still available since the store the carried them here stopped (boy was I disappointed with that decision). They also included a list which explained which foods could and couldn't be store with other foods (because the gases set each off to go bad even faster). I think those types of lists are on the web though.
but I do have a hint for keeping celery for a really long time. Wash and cut it, into stalks and wrapt it in tin foil, it lasts for about 2 weeks longer than normal.
