Your deck looks great. what a lot of work you did.
oh really?...wow that's good to know...one less thing to worry about
Actually rain is good for wicker, it keeps it from drying out. Remove cushions though.
bigmama..this is the stuff i used

yea tell me about it...and i'd be the one to sit on them when i go out for my smoke...LOL
Nothing worse than soggy seat cushions... LOL
Ade...it's somewhat sheltered under there...and unless the rain is really bad and it's really windy it stays fairly dry under there...but i think i will still pick up covers for them
i think you could use the same thing....mix it 5:1 in a bucket the with a stiff nylon brush slop it on and scrub....you don't have to scrub too hard...then wash it off with the hose...don't even need a pressure washer
Jen..
i like the wicker out ther as long as you can cover it when it rains the I would say leave it out there... Besides you need a table out there, so you have a place for your drink... LOL
well you did a great job!! do they make a cleaning bleach for cedar shingles as well( siding on house)?
it's BC redwood cedar and cost a small fortune...i had Thompson Water Seal on it and that was a MESS!!!!...so i started two summers ago to take all the TWS off and in the meantime it greyed which i can't stand!!...so i washed it with Behr Deck Wash and Brightner and that stuff is AWESOME...took all the grey off and made it look almost brand new again then we stained it using Sikkens Cetol SRD 077...which is a cedar colour...i got ds to help me bring the wicker up...whatchya think??
OMG jen looks great Is your deck cedar and what did you do???
We are thinking of building a deck and trying to decide on wood :D
The wicker would hold up if it did not get rained on. You can buy plastic covers for outdoor furniture, check Can. Tire and Sears. The wicker would look great out there.
What a lot work you did on that deck and in this heat..whew!
oh and i forgot...i have a wicker set in my basement...couch chair and table...do you think it would hold up outside??
