We want to purchase a dehumidifier in our basement. Is there a brand to purchase or any particular store. I am looking thru the Sears catalague and they have electronic dehumidifiers that say that you never have to empty a bucket again. They range in price from 250.00 to 350.00. Any thoughts or input?

We have a portable dehumidier. It works for us because we were able to put the hose directly into the drain in the basement floor. I bought it at Costco. I would have definitely preferred the kind that doesn't have to be emptied if not for the floor drain.
