Designer Guys Episode...

Yesterday the DG ran a repeat program . They re-designed actress Mimi Kuzyk's kitchen and den area. They plastered the outdated brick fireplace and it look incredible. They then used a glaze with Farrow and Ball paint and gave it some life. I have the exact same outdated fireplace and would love to do the same. Does anyone know where or who I would contact to get more info on this project? Thanks.

Yay!!! I'm so glad. They're really great about giving out info. Good luck and keep me posted. I can't wait to see if you do it. Maybe I will follow suit. I've been looking for an idea for my fireplace :-)

Thanks for the info. I am so scared to do this for fear of really mucking the whole thing up and with this project a mistake would be costly. I found the instructions but need to more about plastering the brick. I emailed the faux artist Jim personally hoping he might give me some insight without giving away trade secrets. LOL.

If you go to this site, and click on the bedroom picture with the fireplace in it, to enlarge the pic, and then hover your mouse over the fireplace, the instructions come up in a little box.

Debbie Travis did a similar project on Face Lift this week, on a faux fireplace. Try that website. She might have the instructions.
