We are in the market for a digital camera. I envy those of you who are able to submit photos of your work, problems, etc.. Any advice on brands and software that suits a couple who aren't the most computer "literate", if you know what I mean!! One thing I know from the bit of looking we've done is the view finder thingy...some look to be so small -- barely 1" x 1". Once we get a camera, I will be happy to join in with my pics!

I agree with the above comments. Know what and how you'll be using your camera for before you buy.
I also did months of research before I bought. Purchased Nikon Coolpix 4300.
Suggestion: Buy the best resolution you can afford ie. 2 megapixels to 6+ megapixels. I have a 4.3 megapixel and can take a picture of an item in a store, without thinking, and later on the picture zoom in on the price tag or even UPC code if I choose. Great resolution.
Hey
Finding a digital camera is a tough one. I spent a few months doing research and a couple more searching for a good deal. I ended up getting a used Canon G3 online for a very reasonable price.
Some useful websites to find out more about digital cameras are:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/
http://www.dpreview.com/
Dpreview is great cause it rates cameras, u can do side by side comparisons and there are user comments. I found the user comments very helpful.
U just need to decide on what u want to do with your pics. Are U going to print them out? Enlarge them? Or keep them in the digital format?
Good luck with your hunt.
Hi
Hope you enjoy your camera, I purchased a Canon Power Shot S30 last year and LOVE IT... I do all my own personalized photo cards etc. its awesome.
a Canon A80 digital camera. Now I need to read up on how to run this thing!! Will keep in touch.
I have A Kodak - supplied by my job - hehehe! It is super easy to work, comes with software for you to crop, get rid of red eye, etc. Mine is not the best quality, but it was cheap, and it seems pretty tough. Hope that's a help!
