Hi Everyone,
I'm almost finished a virtual design for a drab dining room. My plan includes adding a short wall to visually separate the dining room from the living room a little more and installing shelving and a built in server in the recessed wall.
I've attached a before shot and a computer rendering of the suggested design and just wanted to get your thoughts.

Your designs looks really great Erin. looking forward to see the real one.
Your design looks great - you can use the chairs you currently have and redo the seats to complement the idea of a color on one of the walls. You could also consider only half walls to separate the space - or columns which would visually break up the space, but allow a free-flow of conversation and air!
I really like the use of that space behind the table on the far wall. You have divided the two rooms with a new wall, but maybe something to consider would be a small half wall of maybe 4-6 feet in length with a planter on top to introduce green into the room and perhaps glass blocks below to keep the light. Just a thought.
Hi ErinE,
Very creative, no doubt. What are your plans for those empty corner in second pic, placing little green tree will enhance your home beauty ..
That looks great, What type of Dining Table were you planning on choosing? I feel like a glass dining table would give the room some glow, depending on what color paint you choose.
Thanks!
I tried orange on the wall behind the shelves but it was too much with the art. The side wall to the right that's not in view might be the place for an accent orange. I didn't try making the wall orange then white behind the shelves though. I'm going to see how that looks. Thanks for directing me back to trying an accent wall
I use LiveInterior 3D for the room designs and renderings. I'm on a mac and use 3D modeling program (similar to Sketchup) to build my cutsom models in.
Looks great! :) What do you plan on doing with the walls? An accent wall would be cool in this space picking up the orange used in the decor and seating!
What program did you make this virtual design on?
