Now I understand the frustration you must all feel when you lose your star/number of posts... Because I had only been a member a few days, I got lost in the shuffle and my whole profile, and all my posts disappeared. : ( They've assured me that it was a glitch and that I should "re-appear" at some point but they have no way of knowing when... I can only imagine how much more frustrating it would be to lose hundreds/thousands of posts. I lost less than a hundred and didn't like it... oh well...
Anyway, I'm back so if by chance anyone had replied to me in the past couple of days, please respond again.

I assume that links naturally expire due to how busy it is.
So you've been through this too, it's happening on a regular basis ? Since I am fairly new here, maybe my links expired "naturally", just like yours did... At least I feel better I am not the only "lost" soul :).

I used to have links in Internet Explorer to all the interesting projects and now they do not work anymore because the server web address is changed. So I do not have a way to recover them, only maybe using the search engine... yeah, try finding the right thread for "paint" keyword :). [/B]
I am not technical by any means but, that happened to me even with out server changes, I have clue why but after a coupke weeks links to a thread don't work anymore, in my experience

I don't understand, what does your favourites have to do with the server going down?
Your bookmarks aren't attached to the forum... Did I miss something in the discussion?
Also, Jody posted a notice the other day on all the forums...

I posted about this in every forum on Monday, mentioning that we would be switching servers over the next 4 days and that things would disappear.
This switch has nothing to do with the forum upgrades, which is the impression that I think some may have. Those changes will come over the next month or so.

Do you mean you had it in your favorties and that link doesn't work? Cause that is easy to change, especially for all the upgrades that are to come I am sure it will be worth it.

they have been mentioning this forever, I am sure once everything is back to "normal" everything will be back the same
