Displaying Plates, platters and more.

This is a helpful hint for displaying plates, platters, trays and more in cabinets, on shelves or display surfaces that do not have a plate groove or lip to keep them from sliding down and showing vertically. I have a glass shelved curio with no plate grooves and wanted to display antique silver trays in the back of my crystal displays. I had purchased a roll of clear plastic tubing from the plumbing area of a store for another project and thought of using the tubing, cut to short lengths equal to the size of the plates to be displayed. Cut open length wise the tubing and slide the plate into this opening. It shapes to the bottom of the piece, cushions the object and prevents it from sliding forward or sideways. An easy solution to a difficult issue. It works on several areas such as a display bracket, sideboard, the opportunities are endless. Try it, it works.
