Hello SueMarie,Sorry to hear the video cut out. Maybe try again? Click pause and allow it to buffer for a few minutes before pressing play again, that may help.http://www.houseandhome.com/tv/segment/trendy-diy-pendant-lightAs for the size of the hole to get the deflated ball out, it doesn't need to be too large ... just large enough to fit a lightbulb kit into the pendant once you're ready to hang it. Buy the lighting kit first, and then decide how many inches you will need to fit it in the pendant.I hope that helps! Please let me know if the video still doesn't work for you ...Gwen McAuley (gmcauley at hhmedia.com)

You might try watching the video again.  Don't know why it would cut out.

Anyway, once you have all the string on that you want, figure out where you want the top to be (this could be an existing hole large enough to pass through the plug and cord of the light).  If there is no hole large enough, you might have to cut one.  Tie a loop in the end of the string at the point of where the cord will come out so you can hang it from a hook.  Take a utility knife or scissors and punch a hole or multi holes in the ball so it will deflate.  At this point you have to cut a hole with scissors in the upper side of it - about 4 inch x 4 inch or so - large enough to get the deflated ball out and for your hand and/or a light bulb assembly to fit in.  Put the plug out through the designated hole in the top and pull all the way out until the light bulb holder will rest against the ceiling of the interior of your shade.  Hang it up and plug it in!!!!
