Has anyone ordered seeds or plants from Dominion Seed House?? I remember my grandma used to order vegetable seeds from them ages ago, but I've never ordered from them myself.
Just wondering what the quality of their products is like, and if people are happy with their service.
Thanks!!

Well the roses survived the winter except one of the 6 and Vesey's is replacing it as they guarantee them. Good costumer relations I think.
I personally wouldn't order from them. I ordered canna rhizomes from them one year and they were terrible. Pitifully small and shrivelled and not one grew. The following year I was foolish enough to give in and order some specialty cannas they were offering and the same thing happened again. This time I called them and had to go through a long procedure to try to get my money back but it came in the form of a credit. I phoned again and complained and agreed to accept replacement cannas after being assured I would be pleased. Well the replacement order went in the compost. They were beyond hope.
I've never ordered seeds from them but one would think it would be safe.
Out here most of the gardeners order plants from Hole's.
Just a note:
Often its a good idea to order plants or seeds from a company that harvests its seeds or grows its plants nearest to where you live. Its jusy extra assurance that the stock is aclimatized to your area.
I usually order from Vesey's. The roses I ordered last year were a good size and quality...no problems. Mind you I have to wait to see if they are all still alive after the snow goes. They were David Austin and are more sensitive to the winter than other species.
