I was out in my garden yesterday, enjoying it's beauty, when thoughts turned to you. This often happens when my thoughts turn to all things beautiful, anyhoo, just wondering how your flowers and plants are coming along? Have you managed to save some of them? Maybe if you blew up a billboard sized picture of Artsy's garden you could fool some people. Trompe L'oile(not sure of the spelling) is what it would be.

.......an image of you driving around town in your Porche, knocking at strange gates, and getting your head caught in between the grids. Then someones Pit Bull comes along and bites your nose off and swallows it before you can blink your eye. Just stay put, it's only a fence, let the mystery continue!!!

Elise, I think of you often, too. I think of you in my garden, when I see my beautiful copper and glass spider, I think of you in my kitchen, when I carefully close the cupboard doors all the way (just in case), I think of you in the bathroom when I clean up after my son (only 13 and already a big hairy monster), I think of you when I see a mosquito and wish it was stuck in a big spider's web...

I have resigned myself to a sorry looking garden this year, but do not believe there is any permanent damage. Artsy, who lives somewhere on the same side of the city as I (but of course I don't know exactly where) came through that storm with her garden unscathed, but of course it is better mine than hers...have you ever seen such a fabulous garden? I would certainly love to "borrow" hers in some way, or even get a good look through her fabulous gate. One day, Elise, I am going for a long drive, and I am not stopping until I find that gate...
