OK

so, yes, we will have a tutorial tomorrow, now I have to go get my beauty sleep, don't want dekota too talk badly about me tomorrow.
you had better get to bed!
You skulk around the board and help Ms. Artsy tomorrow during the day and then we can all have a nice chat tomorrow night about veneers or weiners or hockey players or whatever, OK?
if I had that magnifying glass from the gigantic dictionary, I might even be able to see what it says! hehe ;)
the perfect opportunity for me to go to bed, finally!!!!
and be there early (buggers) but you try to get on the chat so we can talk tomorrow evening for sure. Sweet dreams.
here
Okay, so DH is calling and I must go. I really missed you guys (group hug). I like the MSN idea for a more discreet chat. I will catch up with you tomorrow!
but I have noticed a couple of others have slight variations on their names... AAN is AAN-Alex, for example. Maybe I should have called myself Guido.
you can usually have a private chat by "whispering" to each other if you want while on the main chat room page. The room page shows a list of who is present, added as they join, but it seems to me you can always "whisper" and do so without anyone else knowing you are doing it. I am not sure because I have only heard tell of how it works...
thing a try tomorrow. I couldn't figure out how you get a user name. Maybe I didn't fill out the forms far enough.
Do you guys have your same names?? Re: Dreamer, AAN, can I be Artsy?
you have no control over who is there, you just see their names on the side, I'll take a screen pic for you...
but no, the hockey player thing, it was, just, hm...not funny anymore...
it was something about Alberta...I'll get off the hockey topic, I do know ONE hockey wife though. HAH!!
answer the part about how you decide who is there or not. Let's say I log in and want to join. Can I just do so ... is the point that you KNOW who is present but you have no control of who?
I don't know if AAN is THAT European. I think she just figures there is nothing in Edmonton but hockey players... who else can put up with Ralph? Am I right AAN? I made her happy... my sister married a hockey player (he was on a farm team briefly many long years ago) so she has now met a sister-in-law of a sort-of hockey player.
Close enough?
want to meet a hockey players wife? Does she like the opposite sex ... (not that there is anything wrong with that). Sorry, just wondering?
nothing like that. We are all just as nice in chat as in real life... only I am rude.
I'm notorious on the spell checker too, I will literally blush if I see my own spelling mistakes, occupational hazard I guess. Unless I'm too tired or excited, then me not allways care.
You can't see it as you type but you'll write a sentence and hit enter, then it shows up for everyone else...does that make sense? And yes, you will see EVERYBODY that is logged in, no lurking possible. what you've said prior to me logging on for example, I will not be able to see.
hurting someone's feelings. HOW exactly do people join in and how the he ... l ...l am I going to figure this out?
Are you guys playing truth or dare over there? If so I'm not going!
meet a hockey player's wife. My DP has relatives in Canmore. My sister was in Banff this weekend... did you see her perhaps? She is very good-looking.
before anyone can read your post, so you can edit to your hearts content, but must commit yourself before you hit "send".
I was only chatting very briefly. Didn't tell a soul a thing about myself. Mentioned your gate though (It is such a nice gate... you know Italians are fixated on wrought iron as well as concrete).
were attended other than Calgary. I'm too shy to say more.
I don't get the hockey thing?
you are right... the other good thing is you can see who all is "present" at all times... no lurking possible.
so people can read as I type?
What about my type A personality requirement to do a spell check?
How do you know who is with you? Can someone just spy like here?
What have you been talking about that I don't know!?
Weyyyyy ..... sniifffff ... not fair! :(
is your concern that it won't wear well (a good concern I think) or just that you like the look of solid wood. My beloved coffee table is solid wood. The only thing in the house that is!
is a thing of the past I think. It isn't the veneer per say that we don't want (thin wood on top of some other surface) ... it is something that looks inlaid or has a design that we don't want. There was some of this on the table top but not the other pieces in the collection.
Jason said we SHOULD be able to delete our own and he is checking into it.
you chat in real time, and nothing is saved so you can't go back later and read it once you're logged out, as well as you see everyone who is on.
it's great for "secret" conversations I guess...and faster..
your darling's? Did you go to Detroit? That was Dy'n's guess. I think AAN got her confused with all this hockey wives talk.
much faster... the posts appear more quickly so it is more like a conversation, but I think the messages disappear into never never land when the session is over. You must ask Dekota that though.
I know somewhat how you feel, I feel guilty for bugging ppl with my furniture questions, yet, I still have none...sorry, I will stop saying this soon...
no, can't delete a topic I started either...Don't worry about it, it happens to all of us, that's what this forum is for (I think?) to ask and give advice on furniture, we're not obligated to run out and buy it just because we have a few questions.
