Before I have the electrician over, I wonder if someone knows if I can reuse the line of power to an ancient intercom/radio (hardwired?) that I'm removing from my kitchen wall. I would like to use this 'wire' to install another electrical outlet on the wall. Is this possible?

I would go to Home Depot and ask them that question...just make sure you get a very qualified person before you call an electrician.
